Dr. Luke Stone is a chartered engineer with 10 years of experience in the mining industry, specialising in bulk materials handling. He manages Hatch’s Granular Flow Performance team, providing SME support to clients globally. Luke has led projects from feasibility through to execution, with expertise in handling a large range of bulk materials, including concentrates, filter cakes, pelletised materials, ores, and powders. His designs leverage both passive and active techniques for flow promotion, utilising various technologies to deliver exceptional value to clients. His deep understanding of material flow property testing and dust generation is demonstrated by his PhD on CFD-DEM calibration.
