John Fennell is the CEO of the International Copper Association. Australia Ltd (ICAA) which is the pre - eminent marketing and technology development body for the Copper industry in Oceania . John Fennell was born in Canada on 4th November 1950 and relocated to Adelaide , South Australia with his parents in 1960.He was educated at St Peter’s College in Adelaide and attended Adelaide University completing a Commerce degree in 1972 He started at Price Waterhouse before buying and operating a mid size manufacturing company in the auto industry and moved to Sydney with his wife Robbie (nee Tyree) and children in 1993 John Fennell joined and has led the International Copper Association Australia Ltd since 1998 Since 2019 the ICAA have delivered a range of research reports, providing insights into key topics, technology scoping and roadmaps. This knowledge has now been converted into a digital interconnected framework, called ConnectOre, made up of 8 key themes across the mining value chain to address challenges that are beyond the scope of any single organisation
