His expertise as a hydration specialist originates from his doctoral research studies on skeletal muscle at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine at their Centre for Muscle Biology. Exploring cellular mechanisms behind what makes skeletal muscles tired during exercise and in human disease states opened new avenues of innovation using performance nutrition, hydration, and pharmacological intervention.
