Caroline Tiddy
Caroline Tiddy is an Associate Professor in Geosciences at the Future Industries Institute, University of South Australia, and a Chief Investigator in the MinEx CRC. Her research focuses on developing innovative technologies to support more efficient and environmentally responsible mineral exploration that is critical for securing the copper and other metals needed for the global energy transition. Through her leadership in MinEx CRC’s Project 3: Real-Time Downhole Assay and Program 3: National Drilling Initiative, Caroline is contributing to the transformation of mineral exploration workflows through data-driven, real-time decision-making. She also coordinates the MinEx Education and Training Program, helping to equip the next generation of graduates with technical skills required across the mining value chain. A committed advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion in STEM, Caroline leads research into the systemic barriers facing women in senior roles across academia, government, and industry within the geosciences.
