Quik Lok will undertake the international launch of a new safety coupler that it says represents a world-first improvement on conventional compressed air connection systems on Stand SP128 during AIMEX – Asia-Pacific’s International Mining Exhibition 2011, to be held at Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush, from September 6-9.
The new coupler is designed to improve workplace safety and productivity.
"The Quik Lok safety coupler provides unsurpassed security compared to conventional claw couplers with the added benefit of an integrated diffuser controlling the release of trapped pressure," Quik Lok representative Lindsay Auston said.
"An anti-whip valve protects the operator from injury while the sleeve valve provides air control at your fingertips, like a trigger on the end of a garden hose."
The coupler has applications in all heavy industry, including underground and surface mining, civil construction, petro-chemical processing, heavy equipment manufacturing and energy generation, he said.
