Tyre managers can focus too heavily on maximising tyre life without seeing the bigger picture of maximising production and have in recent years, had to learn to adjust to a different environment where tyre supply is plentiful. This session will attempt to do the opposite, namely, provide mine operators that are heavily focused on production, with an insight into tyre management, so that tyre performance is a factor in their decision-making process when it comes to mine haul road design, construction, and maintenance.

The objective of this session is not to get into highly technical civil engineering principals, but to slant the conversation towards the effect that haul road design and maintenance decisions contribute to tyre performance and therefore overall mine operating costs.
