NEPEAN has completed a companywide restructure to position itself to become a significant corporate entity in the supply chain for Australian mining capital equipment projects. Four new divisions have been created: Mining, Engineering & Innovation, Building & Infrastructure and Transport. The NEPEAN Mining division has three arms: NEPEAN Longwall supplies capital equipment and services to the underground coal mining industry, and manufactures and refurbishes underground longwall mining equipment. Products include complete longwall system packages and the Inbye longwall coal clearance systems including armoured face conveyors, stage loaders, crushers and bootends, and it has a growing presence in the management of surface based coal mine methane, manufacturing free-flow and gas engine-powered methane extraction systems. NEPEAN Conveyors provides fully engineered turnkey conveying and materials handling solutions, from concept to commissioning, for some of the world's largest mining companies. It manufactures and markets conveyor components including pulleys, idlers, rapid-advance-rapid-retreat components and drive-heads, and provides onsite installation, maintenance and relocation of conveyor installations. NEPEAN Power, the electrical and control system arm of NEPEAN's new Mining division manufactures, supplies and overhauls custom mining and industrial electrical equipment, including switchboards, electronic products and underground mining electrical systems. Products include an extensive range of explosion protected equipment for underground longwall and development operations, transportable substations, electrical switchrooms, switchboards, motor control centres and starters.
